On the border of Tarangire National Park

About Tarangire Treetops

Tarangire Treetops lies on the border of Tarangire National Park and lives up to its name: its 20 rooms are raised high among marula and baobab trees, looking out over the tops of the surrounding bush. At the heart of the lodge, the main building is built around a baobab that is around a thousand years old.

At 65 m², each Treetops room is among the largest in any lodge or camp in East Africa. The rooms are open-fronted onto a wide private balcony with views across the Tarangire plains and have an en-suite bathroom with a double shower, with furnishings made by local craftspeople.

Guests are welcomed by the Maasai team who are part of the lodge's story. Evenings bring lantern-lit dinners in a traditional boma to the sound of Maasai chants, or candlelit meals by the pool while elephants and other animals come to drink at the lodge waterhole.
