About Ngorongoro Farm House
Ngorongoro Farm House is a small hotel on a working 500-acre coffee plantation in the Ngorongoro Highlands, just 5 km from the Lolduare gate of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Hand-plaited thatched roofs, wide verandas and colonial-style interiors recall the farms of the past, and the sun sets behind the Oldeani volcano.
The 52 chalet-style rooms sit at ground level among the gardens and coffee, each with a private terrace or balcony and a bathroom with shower; there are standard rooms, suites, quadruple rooms and interconnected rooms for families. The main building holds the restaurant, a lounge and a large terrace facing Oldeani. Meals are home-made with organic vegetables from the farm, and dinner can be served out on the terrace deck.
Guests can walk around the coffee plantation and the vegetable garden with a guide, book a massage, enjoy a sundowner or visit the local communities. The farm is also a good starting point for a day in the Ngorongoro Crater, walks towards the volcano or a trip to Lake Eyasi, home of the Hadzabe.
