About Moivaro Arusha Lodge
Moivaro Lodge, where the Moivaro story began, is set in 40 acres of green gardens just 7 km from Arusha. It is a relaxed place to rest after a long flight or before setting out on a safari or a Kilimanjaro climb.
The 40 spacious rooms are in thatched brick cottages scattered through the gardens. Each has a fireplace, an en-suite bathroom, a desk, single or double beds, mosquito nets, a ceiling fan and a private veranda; families can book rooms with connecting doors, and a private house suits larger groups. The restaurant serves African and continental dishes with fruit and vegetables from the lodge's own garden, and the bar and lounge have a fireplace and a veranda over the garden.
There is a swimming pool, massages, an outdoor fireplace with a view of Mount Meru, a 2 km walking and jogging track through the grounds, plenty of birdlife, a children's playground and a gift shop. A guided walk or bike ride through Moivaro village takes in a coffee plantation and a local banana-beer brewery, and the lodge supports the village through bed-night fees, a yearly grant and a school and nursery project.
