Kilimanjaro Mountain Hut

On the Marangu route, climbers sleep in shared mountain huts rather than tents. The three hut camps are Mandara Huts in the rainforest (about 2,700 m), Horombo Huts in the moorland (about 3,700 m) and Kibo Hut at the foot of the summit cone (about 4,700 m).

Accommodation is simple: bunk beds with mattresses in shared dormitories, with communal dining halls and basic toilet facilities. Bring a warm sleeping bag, as nights are cold, especially at Kibo. Our mountain crew prepares all meals and drinking water throughout the climb.
